Jane's Addiction – Ritual De Lo Habitual

The master and cut sounds good, some songs/sides sounds better than others, but on my copy the quality control on the pressing of the first disc is poor. In Side A at the end of Ain't No Right there is an annoying sound like someone scratching a chalkboard :( Side B sounds okay, not as remarkable as the rest, and the label has tears. Side C sounds beautiful, as if it was cut on a 45. I think it's a good but uneven edition. It would have been appreciated if the insert artwork had been used to make it a gatefold, perhaps for the 75th anniversary.

i am so pleased by the quality of this pressing. Three Days and Then She Did on the same side is also clutch and they both sound larger than life. this is easily the best way to listen to this album. couldn't rec it higher

This listing isn't entirely correct. Not all of the LP's with this deadwax have incorrect labels on Side A and B, but this is the only listing for the Title on 2xLP. Also, the deadwax is listed as having "IM catch" etched. It actually says KPG@ATM. This pressing was cut by Kevin Gray. He did a fantastic job. It sounds great.

This sounds great. I just got a beautiful copy with the shrink. Thanks to the people who took great care of this vinyl. When I heard the first note I could tell it was a great mastered vinyl. It works well with the music for sure. I don’t think I’ve gotten a bad 90’s first pressing yet. I heard people say quality dropped but my AiC, Marilyn Manson, NiN, and 2pac first pressings sound amazing. Maybe there were some bad ones but luckily it didn’t affect many of the bands I like. In the end tho, it’s all about having fun and enjoying music to the most of its potential. Happy hunting everyone!

It's a solid 90s rock pressing with a punchy midrange especially in the bass and guitars, which initially made me think it outperformed the Chris Bellman mastered reissue.

However after a close comparison it really lacks the soundstage, depth, and power which is most noticable in the drums.

I ended up selling this original and kept the CB 2LP which, in my opinion, better captures the full potential of the recordings.

Surprised by many superlative comments here - the pressing is okay, noisy in a few places just like most of GZ pressings are. Plus there is the cheapo jacket... Besides that, it's great and it definitely helped to split the 51-minute record onto two discs. The sound is clear and dynamic. Until there is something better, this is a go to version.

Lots of crackles & pops on this one for me. Bought it sealed new & cleaned it upon opening.

Wow this blows my speakers! Great mastering for this type of music. Bass is thumping, searing guitars! Really notice the difference putting this on after other records which I thought sounded good. Next level!

Pressing is great. Stupid flimsy non-gatefold sucks. Thirtieth anniversary - woo-hoo! Here’s your cheap cardboard jacket. But I digress. It’s such a fun record and I’m happy to have a good press. Bass sounds really articulate and defined. Drums sizzle and pop. Full band sections get a little “swishy,” but that’s the mix. They love reverb and delay! ;)
