Just bought a very reasonably priced Technics 1210 and the chap included a bunch of old rave tunes.
A very nice condition copy of this tune was amongst the vinyls.
Today's a very good day ☺️ -
Recently came across a copy of this and sold it on here within 20hrs of putting it up! Most I've ever got for a record. So although it's not a Chicago or Detroit classic it goes for the same sort of money! It's one you will have heard before and although I prefer the original this is still a slice of classic British house and obviously holds a special place in a certain generations hearts. Was massive in West Yorkshire where it was created back in the day.

Edited 5 years agoCan't leave the last review as the top comment, wrong in so many ways! An absolute classic record (and rare as Hen's teeth) I bought years ago as a kid at Global Beat Records in Bradford, still sounds amazing today. And to top it all off the lads who made it were from the Bingley area too. A precious record in my collection. 10/10 for me.

Edited 6 years agoA drum break, plinky plonk piano, some tastefull chosen samples and bingo...it's apparently a 'classic'.....? C'mon ? really, there are hundreds of bedroom productions from his era that are the exact same blueprint and probably just as good. This is what you call 'cookie cutter' stuff. 50p is a reasonable price for this IMHO.

Hi Andy, I wrote it. My name is Paul Jannetta and I live in Wilsden in West Yorkshire. The original was written whilst at 6th form at Beckfoot Grammar in Bingley. The remix was recorded in our studio we had in Wilsden. The title of the B side on the remix is the human oscillator. Anything else you need to know then feel free. Also check out www.pianomanpaul.co.uk for a bit more on the history of the tune. Thanks

Hi just Been going through some old records, came across a white label with Pbt hand written in pen and no other markings I will have purchased this in the early 90s in Leeds. Any further info of the record or it's origins would be good. Thanks. Andy

Great tune, worth it's weight in gold, and although the helpful note here from Wainwright mentions the Knights Of The Turntable bootleg - beware; this bootleg actually features the original mix of PBT and NOT this remix - While the original mix isn't half bad, IMHO it's not a patch on this remix, which you'll have to fork out for if you want it in the collection ...
