Non-fills on mine. The absolutely worst thing about modern vinyl pressings. Mastering and sound otherwise is good.

Is it better than a famed HorZu? Probably not. Is it digital? Yes. Is it better in mono? Entirely subjective. Does it sound as ⭐️magical⭐️ as its cover and whimsical psychedelic musicality? Yes. I have no reservations in recommending this. The seperation is wonderful, the vocals are clear and forward, the bass rumbles the way you'd pray they would on songs like Baby, You're a Rich Man and the cover and contents are complete and in crystal clear form. Back in 2009, this album needed a complete, consistently good sounding, easily accessible stereo release as most others has failed. This more than serves its purpose.

None of my 2012 copies has surface noise as others have identified.
Lately I compared this one against the original German Hör Zu 2nd press and I expected to hear a drop in quality, but, to my surprise, I found the 2012 different, but equally good.
Bass is excellent, it's very well balanced and the sound is nice and warm. Highs are nicely defined without any distortions. Vocals are very clear and real. Overall impression is that of a relaxed, grown up mastering. -
Fantastic pressing.
Zero surface noise, thoughtful stereo separation.
Flat.
Great price.
Big ‘ol book included.
I say yes, purists say no.
I don’t know why they say no I say hello. -
Edited one year agoI have a mint copy of the much respected german Horzu lp and this remaster sounds quite weak in comparison
that said its one of the better digital remasters and not a bad sounding mix .I think its well worth the price -
This is an amazing pressing: vinyl is amongst the quietest in my collection and the music itself sounds ALIVE. Sounds new, but old and completely respectful to the source material, all at the same time. Don't sleep on this release—it has to be every bit as good as the reputedly best pressings.

I recently read mention of the quality of this German pressing of the vintage LP and upon ordering and playing it, I have to say it sounds great, way better than the original USA pressing I had. I was looking for a Horzu copy but heck with that, this one was a bargain and sounds great. Man when the bass kicks in near the beginning of Baby You're A Rich Man, your stylus better be ready for it! Massive sounding all around and its great to be rid of the reprocessed stereo on some tracks of pretty much all other copies I had heard. I still have my original 7" EP set just for nostalgia sake.

I listened to a highly regarded AAA German pressing of this album, which as irers say, sounds wonderful. That said, so does this repress, despite the digital sourcing. I’m so content with the sound of this that I’m going to let go of my German copy, and keep this one. This record, of which the tracks were generally well-recorded, was initially compiled together in true/fake stereo with varying degrees of quality. As an album it really benefitted from the 2009 remaster treatment, and each number here really shines in true stereo sound. Recommended!

Very surprise whit this record. Even the disc is digital source, actually i never notice that. Exelent bass and all arround a great stereo separation. Recommended.
