My copy looks great, feels great, sounds great. Happy to have this, especially with the original cover!

Bought the 2011 version a couple of years ago however have always been unhappy with an imperfection in the wax on Luna (bit of debris pressed into the record, still plays with some noise but no skips).
Bought this as a “trophy” copy I suppose, sounds absolutely perfect, beautiful mix that does the album justice, no surface noise.
My only gripe is the paper inner sleeves the discs came in - very poor and arrived ripped on both discs, but thankfully no damage to the discs themselves, easily resolved by putting them in anti-static sleeves. Very very happy with the purchase. -
A bad one from GZ for me. Badly packed with the sleeve not in the jacket properly and wrapped under the shrink.
Vinyl are dirty full of gunk and paperdust with too much surface noise with a wet clean not solving it.
Replaced the sleeves and going to have to seriously wet clean these before the quiet parts are good to listen to without noise.
However the mastering is good and the vinyl are at least flat. -
Edited one month agoNot bad at all. A heck of a lot better than the earlier pressing with the awful foil cover. A lot more dynamic. Strangely, top end of guitars sound a little muted, which is weird for such grungey guitary centric music, and a difference from my memory of the CD pressing. Color of vinyl is nice. No defects in pressing. A good buy.

Edited one month agoDefinitely sounds amazing! I'd only heard it on cassette, an OG CD, and the CD box set (2011). This obviously sounds the best.
Could someone indicate where it says that this was remastered in 2025? I assumed that I was buying the 2011 master in an OG-type sleeve. Not that it matters.
The only relevant credit I see is: "mastered for vinyl by stan getz, a&r records". This is the same credit as the 2011 vinyl remaster and isn't reflected above. Conversely, I don't see any mention of Howie Weinberg in the sleeve notes yet he is credited above. This is likely carried forward from the OG pressing (1993) which credits H.W. -
This reissue is absolutely fantastic. I like that it has the original cover. I can't compare it to other editions, but I'm quite pleased with this one. It's quiet and has a defined sound. I recommend it. 💪

Superb pressing, clear, flat wax and sonically bold. However, it is slightly noisy, but this was a high volume therefore after a clean and a blast with my Milty Zerodust calmed the static down. The gain on ALL these 90s reproductions are often low, but comparing to my 70s originals isn't fair to be honest. Well worth a buy, great pressing, great colour and original artwork.

I have a beautiful U.S. pressing of the 2011 remaster and, Today, I received the red smoke Euro 2025 remaster from Denmark.
First, I just have to give a giant, congratulatory shoutout to GZ for pressing what is essentially perfect vinyl. Dead centered, dead flat, gorgeous and clean colored vinyl effect, and high gloss. Visually flawless. Aside from my FEAR INOCULUM pressings, this could very well be the best GZ wax in my collection. They are certainly capable of great things.
I haven't A/B'd anything yet, but my memory tells me the 2011 is probably a more impressive experience. Even if that's true, this is certainly no slouch. It is an excellent cut and pressing. This is a desert island record for me and I'd be perfectly happy if this was my only copy. I will A/B.
Grateful to Billy for putting such care into this release. -
Edited one month agoSounds absolutely amazing.
Very happy with it and highly recommend one of these pressings when they are still available. Those million guitar layers and mellotrons or practically all instruments are shimmering at you while the rhythm section is pumping like an earthquake, voices sounds like they are in your room.
As it all should.
Only thing is that it's mastered in very low volume, so the upside because of that it has a lot of dynamic range ánd you could use the power abilities of your amp very well by cranking it up. Downside is the noise floor of course, it is high and if you play loud the smoothest needles will make that noise audible in silent ages.
Very different from original US pressing in of EQ. This one is more crisp and separated, that one is more mellow and dreamy, with less topend but very smooth midrange and more pronounced subbass / very low end, so that one feels a bit more rhythmic as well.
I like both in their own way.
Although this website is for sound talk, I would love and have to share that this is one of those very few albums where the music for me personally is a perfect fucking 10/10! Every single second is THE SHIT
Actually, for more than an hour I really can forget that Billy Corgan is an annoying narcissistic asshole, when i hear this! :)
Unbelievable
