This sounds excellent! Looks great too. Not sure what the other complaints are about in other reviews, but I'm really happy with my copy.

If you want the extras, then go for it. If not, find a 1974 OEM or one of the 1988 Savers copies.

This reproduction with it's extras is nice to have, but some of it sounds like it was run-through to make a deadline.

It was a long wait for this to be released on new vinyl… and great though it is, I think some of the b-sides on disc 2 could have been replaced with’My Way’ ‘Melancholia’ ‘Fortune Teller’ & ‘Time is ing’ … what’s needed, is a reissue of the rarities on vinyl to accommodate the single tracks.
That said, fantastic album to have in my growing Who collection.

The original issue has the wrong date on the poster. This RSD issue now has the poster as the inner sleeve and has corrected the date to 12/6/73. I know. I was there. I can see me in the picture. I wrote to Track Records when the album came out to tell them this. Took 'em 48 years to correct it!

Very nice,my 4th copy of this album on vinyl(and it wont be my last)Sounds lovely with a few different versions that I don't even own,and I own quite a bit.Probably not the way I would of repackaged the album, the gatefold is a nice extra tho.
One thing,I bought this sealed but the yellow vinyl had a slight warp,it does not affect the play back but it is there..on mine anyways.

These LPs are great. The music is as it should be. The packaging is a little ridiculous with the cutouts and the certificate of half-speed mastering authenticity? Is this redeemable for an Egg McMuffin, perhaps?

This is a beautifully and lovingly put together set, but there are some niggles under the surface.

To begin with, the songs Little Billy and Glow Girl play significantly quicker to my ears than other versions I've heard. I mean, I know that Keith Moon could play some fast fills, but this is pushing it. This may not be an issue for most, but it's good to know this going in.

Furthermore, the audio quality is iffy at times, to the degree that I prefer the original pressing I own. The dynamics may be richer, but the distortion on Too Much of Anything really hinders the enjoyment. Both discs share the problem of serious groove distortion on the final tracks. This is not unheard of, but this could have been better, especially in this day and age.

The second disc, labelled as 'Odds & Sods Too', is the great redeemer here. Apart from the aforementioned groove distortion, the sound quality and speed are excellently balanced, especially considering the varying sources that the tracks came from.

The track selection on disc 2 is also excellent. The fact that it contains a large number of covers and songs by Entwistle, Daltrey and Moon leads to a refreshing listening experience in which Townshend compositions are in the minority for once (I know that he had a big hand in Dogs Part Two and Waspman, but it's hard to deny that the spirit of Keith Moon is strong in both songs). What's more, the Townshend songs that are present are actually rare versions (The Seeker and I Don't Know Myself) or unique in the sense that Entwistle and Moon sing lead on them (We Close Tonight).

I like the album extras and the details in the notes and so on, but the sound presentation was pretty 2D. Most of the time I was longing for more bass. Am I the only one?
