Surprisingly good album with a few flaws but overall it's a good listen
Pressing sounded clear to my ears. -
This is one excellent sounding pressing-- and it benefits from being cranked up. Smooth and warm sounding. An excellent album by The Specials -- and who was expecting this after a 37 year absence? They're tapped into now, into today, into neo-Thatcherism-- and have kept their punk and ska sensibilities fully intact. Nice! BTW-- the vinyl is clean, flat and near silent. A superb pressing. -
Edited 5 years agoLiking Terry's presence on this collection. 'The Life and Times' is a very special Specials song. Great to find the original spark of creativity and politics returning in new forms 40 years later (even if tbh it does sound too 'manicured' on some cuts). Now, can you all just have a coffee with Jerry?

guess they didn't have time.
I got it how about a few white vinyl ones perhaps.. Ill them by purchasing just because the cant be spun holding the corners. records used to be more interesting, just observation not review 30 years from now ill what was happening when Encore was pressed.
