Surprisingly good album with a few flaws but overall it's a good listen
Pressing sounded clear to my ears.

really like the album, especially the new tracks ... but the remakes are on top, too ... 10 commandments is a great rendition to Buster's classic ... politically on spot AFAIC ... and a boom heavy version of No No No ... also love Lunatics ... although it's somewhat frustrating to become aware that 40 years seem not to change things to the better ... but maybe into the opposite direction ... all of the shit we face was predictable ...and a great cut to the Valentines' Blam blam fever ... Hall, Golding, Panter ... these guys still have a message and are taking position ...

This pressing sounds crap though, possibly the worst 'new' record I've heard.
Rolled off treble, noisy vinyl etc.
Typical CD master pressed to vinyl sound, compressed and lifeless.
The which comes with it sounds much better.

It's a double album. Live album needs to be listed as well.

Hi. In reference to the red vinyl edition https://discogs.mejorespelis.org/The-Specials-Encore/release/13895569. Shouldn’t this edition be listed as a double album? All the live tracks (the same as on the double CD), sides C and D are also missing from the listing?

This is one excellent sounding pressing-- and it benefits from being cranked up. Smooth and warm sounding. An excellent album by The Specials -- and who was expecting this after a 37 year absence? They're tapped into now, into today, into neo-Thatcherism-- and have kept their punk and ska sensibilities fully intact. Nice! BTW-- the vinyl is clean, flat and near silent. A superb pressing.

My CD sounds a bit dull in the mix. Same with my friends LP as well. Have you noticed this too?

B.L.M. is a very hip and groovy number with a strong message around diversity and inclusion. It will certainly get your fingers clicking! However my mam was NOT impressed with Lynval Golding's flagrant use of foul language. Although I begged her not to, she has written a letter to Island records voicing her dismay and requesting the album to be withdrawn from sale. So buy LP while you can, as it may not be available much longer if my mam gets her way!!

Liking Terry's presence on this collection. 'The Life and Times' is a very special Specials song. Great to find the original spark of creativity and politics returning in new forms 40 years later (even if tbh it does sound too 'manicured' on some cuts). Now, can you all just have a coffee with Jerry?
