Can someone tell me if the off center issue badly effects the song Overload? It's my fav Cardigans song so I prob won't even bother with this if it's bad.
-
My copy has the same problem as several other owners are describing; the pressing is off center on Side A, affecting "I need some fine wine..." and making "Don't blame your daughter" practically unlistenable.

Excellent pressing. I’m happy to see this much care being taken with a first time vinyl release of an older album. Same with the rest of the recent Cardigans vinyl releases. The sound quality is excellent and the artwork on the gatefold jacket looks great. I did have a couple minor issues. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, side A was slightly misprinted causing tone arm waggle on the entire side, but thankfully only resulting in minor audible warping during the last track. That may be an issue with every copy, but only some people will notice it. The other issue that I experienced was a good bit of paper specks cemented into the grooves on both sides, requiring a scrubbing and an air compressor blow out to remedy. This is becoming a more common issue with many of the new release LPs that I’ve been buying and it needs to stop. Not everyone knows to or has the means to scrub every new record that they open before playing it, so a lot of people experience constant pops and clicks assuming that is “just how vinyl is” and it’s totally unnecessary.

Edited 5 years agoMy copy is also off center on side A. It's clearly hearable in the last track "Don’t Blame Your Daughter (Diamonds)" since it's a more quiet track and it's closer to the center.
I got it exchanged and that copy had the same error too, so I guess it's all copies?
Or have some of you got a copy where the tonearm is not dancing?

Got all six and I’m blown away! The sleeves and printing are impeccable, especially “Long Gone Before Daylight”, in luxurious uncoated paper. Sound quality-wise, having listened to the CDs for years and being very familar with their sound, to me these LPs with the new mastering sound amazing – except for “Super Extra Gravity”, which has pretty bad distortion in a few tracks (“Losing a Friend” and “Good Morning Joan” are unlistenable). I’ll try to return it. Hopefully it’s just a bad copy!

So happy to finally have this one on vinyl! Sounds great and looks great, it's really value for money. BUT it's a pity they didn't add the bonus tracks of the 2005 European CD version, because "Give me your eyes" is the best Cardigans song ever. At least in my humble opinion...

Beautifully done. Glossy picture sleeve, gatefold with full lyrics, heavyweight disc with great sound... Glad to finally have this!!!
