Debut studio album originally released in November 1978 by Polydor, except in Australia by Interfusion. Recorded at Lennon - McCartney. In 1984 the album was reissued in the USA by Geffen Records.

A rather bizarre version which - although like some US/Canadian ones which include Hong Kong Garden - then also moves usual album opener Pure right to the end of the sequencing, following Switch - thus it now acts as a sort of 'curtain closer' to the album rather than a 'curtain raiser' which it originally functioned as on the album. -
Edited 10 months agoALSO NOTE that this BLUE vinyl remastered edition - which was released same year as the standard black remaster version - has a far superior reproduction of the original artwork on its outer and inner sleeves. It's utterly baffling - not to mention infuriating - as to why this is the case, as the regular 2018 remastered version has truly dreadful 'second generation' scan of the swimmer images which actually put me off from purchasing it.

On my copy the labels are wrong. Black inner sleeve with plastic inside + reprint of the original sleeve on thicker paper. -

My copy has a three fold poster featuring a pic of the band by Adrian Boot and UK press singles reviews for Hong Kong Garden. Also have the 45 for the aforementioned with it. Anyone know if the poster came with 45 or album or it all came together? That’s how I acquired it in US. -
Noise floor is super low on here. Fantastic sound all around -

I have a beat up old copy but it still sounds amazing - what a debut - I trading for it with some singles and it was already pretty damaged by the time I got it. After a clean though it still plays pretty well! -
Beautiful package and sound. And a great album. UICY is usually SHM but not listed on this. So who knows. But sounds great.
