George Michael – Careless Whisper

Excellent but pricey and a paper only sleeve reeks of no care. The sound though..... the sound is quite ALIVE!

It's beautiful but the sound is awfull, very noisy !

On this version it seems like there is a veil compared to the Japanese 7" 45rpm Japanese version. By trying to improve the sound, they destroy it. It's a shame to have this kind of result for a 45 rpm maxi vinyl. Disappointed 😞. Ein sehr schöne klanglich produzierte Maxi Single. Besonders die Live Version gefällt mir sehr gut, weil man auch hier hört, daß er live genauso gut singt, wie auf seinen Studio Aufnahmen. Eben ein Ausnahmekünstler. Danke für Deine schöne Musik. Ruhe in Frieden

I was not impressed with this relase. No clicks or pops and no background noise but it does not sound good to me. I have serveral 80's compilations with this song and they all sound much better to me. I expected more from a remastered 45 rpm version.

What a shame! are the only words i can say about the remaster! I own the original LP Final and Make it Big as well as a compilation that includes it. They alter the sound .i think that the engineers don't even bother to listen carefully to the original sound. They just process by their taste. They just added some bass an cut down the trebles! In addition whenever you process an original analogue recording through digital means, it is very hard to reproduce the same sound and put it back to analogue media especially George Michael's voice which is very clear. The 12" 40th anniversary edition though is a flat and clean record. Please do not alter the sound. The artist knew what they did on the recording!

Sound quality is fantastic too! Worth the money to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the song this year! :)

This is an excellent reissue, the extended mix and live version are absolutely fantastic and an essential addition for a collector. The pressing IMHO is quite frankly flawless, if you got the recent Older reissue, it's very much the same quality, just exceptional mastering and pressing.
I miss George, I was bullied a lot when I was younger for liking him as he was gay and alpha idiots belittled people who ed gay people, he was so unique, so intelligent, and so wise beyond his years. If you watch interviews when he'd broken out in the mainstream, he was early 20's and had understandings most don't have until their twilight years.
We miss you George, thank you for the music.
