I do not, but i phoned sometimes with him. In the early fax days it was very difficult to buy the new releases. In a small city like munich it seemed, that no local record store was able to have all the cds. So i et him. Then i sent him money by mail (you wont believe how much, but i trusted him). Then he sent me every new release, week by week, including a release info sheet for sellers. So it was very easy to collect all the early releases. Some years later i spoke to DAFs Robert Görl who visited the same location in Munich these days. We spoke about the Fax label and he was very interested to collaborate with Pete. Pete by himself was a great DAF fan. So i gave Pete Roberts phonenumber and they did electro 1 and electro 2.

Great story. I saw him live in London and in the car park after but was too shy to introduce myself. Silly really as I had exchanged a bunch of faxes with him - a fax seemed the obvious way to him - questions about plans, cds and collabs. I was looking at Pete's handwritten faxes replies just today. Nice memories.

I actually met him IRL in his last location in Traben-Trabach. I did this radio interview for a radio station although I'm not really a journalist. Pete was very interesting to talk to and very nice and I met his son and wife too. The outcome was kind of disappointing though since only a short interview was accepted by the station even though I had a lot of interesting material. Also, Pete died before it was aired. It felt very tragic.

: Is that Münich in ? Isn't that a big city, one of the largest in ? Anyway, nice you connected Robert and Pete.

On a few occasions as I was lucky enough to distribute the label except for . Went to his home in Frankfurt as well. Nice guy, great loss for the music community as he was a great inspirator/innovator/musician.

Never got the opportunity to meet him in person, but we chatted a lot from 2000 onwards.
As part of my radio show in Dublin firstly, where a live phone interview was done and aired live
    which was great.

From there like many others I ordered most of the albums from him directly which eventually
lead to me building up to the courage to send some demos.

Before his sudden ing it looked like he was planning a visit to Ireland at some point and he was very keen on meeting up and there was also an invite to visit him in at his place in at anytime which was an exciting prospect.

Unfortunately this never happened. The loss is still felt today as his influence is.

Mick, I'm in Dublin too and have bought music from you on Bandcamp. Its a pity his family dont licence some of his music to reputable people like yourself who have the ability to get albums designed, marketed and sold through say Bandcamp.
Christ surely there would be a market for some re-releases on CD or Vinyl and they would get money from the sales.
I know you can buy some digital files but its the CDs I would like and they are as rare as hens teeth or too expensive for me which I gather would not have been what Peter Namlook would have wanted his music to become collectable and only for those with deep pockets.

You may be aware of Silent State Recordings? https://discogs.mejorespelis.org/label/2330419-Silent-State-Recordings?page=1
Who actually bought the rights to Pete's music, they do a great job of repressing on vinyl but not all of Peters music works on vinyl like much of his long form albums etc. Also, there appears to be some issues arising with some of his collaborative works which don't seem to be clear cut regarding the other artists involved.

It is a shame that many Fax/Pete albums will probably never see CD re-issues again as CD in the eyes of many labels in recent time seems to be something that is no longer viable. This is kind of sad as Pete preferred this format and had mainly moved away form vinyl. There is a certain truth to this as even Pete was only releasing between 300/500 copies in the later part of Fax Records life and that was 15 years ago.

It really would be a shame if these long form works got released on vinyl and were split over four sides, just wouldn't work and goes against how Peter wanted these pieces to be listened to.
