Who is DJWags Records?
I am not a full time record store. I’m just a long time collector & DJ who has decided he has Way Too Many Records!
Thus I have decided to sell off a portion of my collection. My unchecked obsession for collecting music is now your gain!
I do this record/media selling thing part time. So, please understand I am not online 24/7. I will respond to orders & communications around any items I am selling as quickly as I can (usually within 24hrs but sometimes longer) *Most of my replies will be in the evenings or randomly on weekends. This is usually the only time I have to check orders and messages. We all have our day to day lives to live so please be kind & understanding if it sometimes takes a little while for me to reply.
*Please keep in mind: the Photos of any items I'm selling are discogs end supplied or stock photos provided by Discogs.
the image may differ in some ways from the actual item I have up for sale. For instance the photo may show an autographed cover or a special insert etc, please don't assume that is what you are purchasing from me. I do my best to give deep descriptions of my items that explain what is included or not etc. Thanks for your kind understanding.
Grading practices:
Grading used records/CD's/Cassettes & other media types can be tricky, it's not like grading diamonds. Most of these items are "used"/pre-owned (unless noted as New-Sealed or Unplayed) opinions on condition/grade may differ as there is some understandable grey area.
To avoid misunderstandings I use Discogs own Grading guidelines - https://blog.discogs.mejorespelis.org/en/vinyl-record-price-guide
These guidelines are based on GOLDMINE's grading scale - https://www.goldminemag.com/collector-resources/record-grading-101
Almost all vinyl records & CD's I offer for sale are professionally cleaned & visually graded under bright light. The media itself is play tested/graded when possible or I feel it's necessary. I will usually have very specific notes & grading details on my listings. If I don't have a note on any listing it's likely because it's a Very Confident Grade and explanation isn't really necessary.
As I have a decades of experience as a collector I am very mindful to grade all records very carefully, conservatively & fairly.
Again please understand that most records & other media formats I sell are pre-owned & often times pre-played. Unless it is listed as Mint. If listed as Mint It is because it is sealed and obviously not played, or am 100% confident the media has not been played.
RETURNS:
*No damage claim can be made if the chosen shipping method is without insurance.
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason Please reach out to me directly within a reasonable amount of time to let me know why Before entering negative . I would like to clearly understand your issue with the item. I always hope to have happy customers so if you are truly unhappy with your purchase & I agree with your reasoning I will do my best to work with you up to offering a full refund upon return of the record. I mean no customer harm, in fact I do this for the opposite reason.
For all of us to co-exist & have great experiences here on discogs it's important that we are kind, honest & communicative with each other.
*If for some crazy reason you do send negative before attempting to communicate with me directly I will have no choice but to reciprocate and defend my business as strongly as necessary. This is not good for either side, and Again I hope for only happy customers. If you don't allow me the opportunity to understand why you are dissatisfied I have no way of attempting to make things right.
**If I receive the item back and it is clearly Not in the condition it was in when originally sent, any potential refund will be null & void. Please do not send back a damaged record in place of the the record I sent you and think I won't notice. I do my best to assume people are good at heart and have only the best intentions, as do I, but I will not tolerate dishonesty or fraudulent returns. - Sorry for any negativity, I hate that I even have to bring this up, but unfortunately a rare few dishonorable folks out there try to take advantage of good sellers.
**Whenever possible the used records I sell are professionally cleaned with a VPI Vacuum type record cleaner VPI/HW-16.5. Or high end Sonic cleaner like the "Degritter" before offering up for sale.
...especially if upon visual grading I see it's necessary for best quality listening experience.
However if record looks super clean already & perhaps even previously unplayed I may just dust off with de-static brush & leave it at that. I do this only in order to handle the record as little as possible. I assume as the buyer you will decide to clean or not clean the media on your own before enjoying at home. BTW: I highly recommend you Do clean the media (especially vinyl) before playing on your system in order to get best possible playback quality. Sometimes even though the media has been professionally cleaned before sale the media may collect some residual dust particles or paper particles (for records in paper inner sleeves) and this should be cleaned off before playing to hear true audio quality I used when grading the media. There are many "How to Clean Vinyl Records" Tips and step by step directions on youtube and other internet platforms that discuss vinyl records.
**I will do my best to provide Photo’s of an item if requested.
***Please keep in mind the image(s) used for all listings are discogs own "Stock" images. The image used for any of my listings is not an image I've posted of my specific listing(s). As an example of why I mention this... if there is an autograph present the stock image used for my listing please know my copy is very likely Not autographed, unless all copies of that recording came autographed or I mention the autograph in my listings details. I try to mention things like this in my listings when I feel it necessary but it's possible to miss stuff sometimes. Especially pertinent topic for newer discogs buyers who aren't as familiar with some of the specifics of this platform work.
SHIPPING INFO
I only ship 2 days a week, so your patience is appreciated.
If you require an order to be rushed or by a specific date please make me aware of this before purchase, or select the appropriate shipping method to get it in the time frame you require.
Buyer Pays for ALL Shipping costs
Multiple Shipping Methods available at time of purchase. Please choose wisely.
I do not take responsibility for any damage or loss that might occur during the shipping process.
Once I deliver your package to the Post Office I have no control of your shipment & I will not take any responsibility for what happens to it on it's journey to you.
*Again I urge you to choose shipping method wisely.
I know first hand as a collector how brutal the USPS Postal service process & their package processing machinery can be on our packages. So I urge you to choose an insured & tracked method of shipping to avoid any potential disappointment. This may add some expense, but will offer you much 'peace of mind' & the best assurance you will get your item safe, sound & fully insured for replacement value if damaged on its way to you.
PACKAGING:
I do take great care in packing & protecting the records, CD's & Cassettes for their journey from me to you.
If the record isn't sealed, I remove the record from the cover in order to avoid any potential for the record splitting the edge seam of the cover or inner sleeve during shipping. I often place record in a plain paper or Poly anti-static Japanese Katta type inner Sleeve. I then put record & cover in a Poly bag to help protect from any potential scuffing or moisture.
My shipping prices include the cost of only the most solid media mailers like: Mighty Music Mailer, Whiplash & other very sturdy containers. These containers are a bit more expensive than the 'standard' record boxes a lot of sellers use. I have found that the boxes I use are the only ones that do a proper job of protecting the contents against bending, corner bangs/damage, cracking, & or any villainous & otherwise un-empathetic postal workers brutal handling & processing machines that may be in with your record/media as it makes it's way to you.
I do same for all media I sell: Vinyl Records, 7", CD's, Cassettes & 8-Tracks.
Your purchases are all VERY well packed and protected against any potentially rough handling during shipping.
**No claim can be made if the chosen delivery is without insurance.
There will be NO REFUNDS for any damage caused by postal service in transit. Insuring your investment is the wise choice. 'nuff said.
*Box Sets are priced by # of LP's in Set & or the overall weight including packaging when necessary
- Please inquire via direct message before placing an order for any Box set if you have questions regarding shipping method or price.
*INSURANCE
First Class, Priority & Express Mail options are insured by USPS *amount of included insurance may vary so be sure to request adding insurance for any item worth more than $100.
Media Mail (most popular) includes tracking# but is NOT insured.

Please feel free to me with any questions/concerns.
