Edited 4 years agoCAN take a trip down the Middle East and something changes. Maybe its the water, maybe its the heat. Life there is strict and patriarchal, yet the air smells of a culture detached from the capitalist machine.. They can't create formless noise anymore, they've realised that anti-music is just another capitalist manifestation digesting all sorts of culture and identity. They have been structurally mesmerized, they have transcended beyond the antithesis.
Microtones, eastern modes, sci-fi lyrics and motorik beats to vibe to in the unbearable heat and dust. Oh and they have a second drummer too...
This is Krautrock 2017, and yes, its not a cheap rehash, it got better. -
Edited 4 years agoI love this Album!
These Australian Guys are understanding how to make a great and funny album.
It´s about deadly, dangerous things, places or happenings and it comes with a very happy vibe about these themes.
It tells about Snakes, Nuklear fusion, Gangsters and Open waters.
In every track there´s a snake pipe, it sounds a bit disturbing sometimes and keeps the funlevel up!
One of my favorite album from 2017!
Great work!
There is also a sticker on the sleeve, it smells like bananas. - got the black pressing. - :) -
I have the Radioactive Yellow pressing. Nice pressing overall, sounds like the source was recorded digitally which is unfortunate.
