Rose Room! Rose Room!! Rose Room!!!
For my palate, some of the Jam Sessions tend to ramble on and on without a "reason for the journey".
This volume is NOT one of those sessions. The players are driven to incremental heights without getting lost in their own worlds along the way. Maybe it was the overall chemistry of the ensemble, but Lionel Hampton seems to be the driving force here. This is one Jam Session to enjoy again and again.
