"John Denver's Greatest Hits" compiles the essence of the iconic singer-songwriter's artistry, featuring classics like "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and "Rocky Mountain High." This release notably includes a string overdub on the original recording of 'Sunshine on My Shoulders'. Denver's heartfelt storytelling and evocative melodies resonate profoundly, making this collection a timeless introduction to his musical legacy, showcasing his enduring impact on folk-country music.

A greatest hits album that came out really well. The majority are rather good re-recordings by Denver that make this more than simply a compilation but not all are redone. There's a string overdub on the original recording of 'Sunshine on My Shoulders' but one or two are left untouched from their original state.

Have 2 copies of this pressing and like all the others that I have heard it sounds muted and way in the background. Must be heavily EQ'd to get it to sound good and then it is still full of ticks and pops on every version that I have heard. Still 5 stars for the high quality of the songs.
