Limited Edition Cereal Box Record Set from The Monkees of four singles that are reminiscent of the ones released on cereal boxes in the late 60's/early 70's. The new set is sealed and surrounded by a facsimile of the essential cereal box design. Part of the "Start Your Ear Off Right" promotion from Rhino.
Pressing Limited to 5000 copies.
Stickers on release: "Milk not included. To play, you may need to adjust your tracking weight or use a few nickels, just like you did in 1970." and "Start Your Ear Off Right January 2016."

That the cardboard flexis are "basically unplayable" should not come as a surprise. What I really dislike about this release is that it is not a true re-release of the original cereal records. The track lists are different, the design is different, so what is the point of this release? It is NOT a replica of an important historical item and it is NOT a playable record with an "previously unreleased tv mix". I am VERY disappointed in this release. -
Yes. basically unplayable on any decent turntable. What were Rhino thinking? Will make good framing items!
