Absolutely fantastic sound quality. Seriously impressive, and sounds easily better than most in my collection.

This truly is a phenomenal pressing! The vinyl is dead silent, flat, and clean (with poly sleeves). The mastering on this release by Chris Bellman is truly top-notch and you can really hear the warmth and dynamics of the orchestra, piano, and Ben's voice. The classical pieces sound so lush and there's great instrument separation as well.
With how hard Ben Folds albums seem to be to find on vinyl, this was a great purchase with an eclectic mix of work. Highly recommended for all Ben Folds fans! -
Edited 5 years agoI have been a heavy duty Ben Folds fan since the very beginning, but I didn’t know what to expect with this album and only purchased it because of a crazy good deal that I could not resist. But, I am Very glad that I purchased a copy. The first LP is basically like a standard recent years Ben Folds solo album with some extra orchestral embellishments and the second LP has straight up orchestral pieces on side 3 and side 4 has instrumentals of a few of the songs from the previous disc. All the songs and pieces of music are masterfully crafted and a joy to listen to. And the mastering on this vinyl pressing is top notch. The background is dead quiet and every instrument & vocal performance soars with depth and vibrance. I am thoroughly impressed with this album and would recommend it to any Ben Folds fan or to anyone wanting an inexpensive record to really show off the capabilities of their sound system. UPDATE: The LPs in my copy of this album are 100% the sharpest edged records that I have ever handled. Disc 2 sliced my finger pretty deeply with normal handling. So, be careful with these ones.
