Edited 2 years agoLabel art on the B Side by the late great Detroit tattoo and fine artist Jeff Shea. Also featuring Eddie Harsch also of The Black Crowes. RIP Rachel and Jeff and Eddie.

What an unexpected gem! This hits the sweet spot of garage band crunch with sultry vocals and even some doo wop influence. An amalgamation of finely blended influences with savvy creative flair and topped with a rock solid mix and master.

This is the record where Rachael Nagy really comes into her own as a singer. This is her 'Dusty in Memphis'. This album really should have been a breakthrough to the main stream for these guys and, maybe because it wasn't, they seem to have retreated a bit, falling back on the novelty and innuendo of the earlier albums. Fun to listen to but lacking the spelunking soulfulness that makes this record such a stone classic.
