Edited 3 years agoThe pressing depth is shallow on side A.
Skip occurs in two of the three turntables.
Of course, adjusting Anti-Skate can solve this problem.
Anyway, I bought two of the same LP records and played them both.
Skip occurs in the same section for both. I don't think the pressing worked out well. -
Edited 3 years agoVery good press. Drums overpowering the mix to much, but, this may be fixed with remastering. At the end, this press is good enough.

A very good sounding pressing, and they did the right thing spreading it over 3 discs to get the best from the groove. Very much an 'each to their own' on the content, I'm not a massive Metallica fan (I have owned the first 5 LPs from release and seen them live 4 or 5 times but nothing since the mid 90's). It's more of a background listen than a sit and listen to type thing for me.

For my opinion one of the best albums i ever hear.
maybe the best mix of orchestra with metal.
nice pressing, crystal sound.
everyone must hear this album. -
Hello, There are some seller that are advertising this 2015 edition of the 3-LP release as 180-gram vinyl. Can anyone confirm if this is true please?
-
It doesn't sound like it was mastered for the vinyl edition though.
"Universal music" does not manufacture their LPs well.
It has a CD sound that looks bad on vinyl. -
A timeless classic, as far as I'm concerned.
It doesn't sound like it was mastered for the vinyl edition though.
Still, a release that sounds nice (even if CD-like) and looks ok on the shelf too. -
