Wow, what great music this is!
I had to start with that. The vinyl is a little noisy, some clicks are heard when the music gets quiet. It's hard to comment on the sound quality of this issue when I have not heard the original issue. What we have here, in absolute rather than relative , sounds good but not great. As expected with a compilation, not all songs have the same sound quality. But in general, the drums and cymbals lack impact while everything else sounds much better. It's a fairly wide soundstage. When I close my eyes and sort of let my mind go blank, the sound seems to expand beyond the speakers. A previous reviewer said the sound is "immersive" and it is hard to beat that description.
I think anyone who likes loud guitars will enjoy this. It's really beautiful. -
Very impressed with the sound quality of this reissue. You usually feel an important difference when they make reissues of EPs that were in 45 rpm, to 33 rpm vinyl, but here it's not the case. I have some original EPs and there isn't a huge difference. The sound experience is immersive and pleasant. My copy is flat and quiet!

I've been really happy with these MOV Slowdive reissues (Swervedriver too). My copy is flat and quiet and sounds great. Good day at ye olde record factory, I guess. These early EP tracks are Slowdive in all their initial trippy fervor and haze.

Absolutely perfect pressing, no noise, clicks, or pops. Just ever so slightly off-center but not enough to be a deal breaker. Recommend this pressing!

Incredible pressing. Flat as can be and phenomenal sound. Zero surface noise. It actually might be the best sounding LP in my library at the moment.

The new copy of this repress that I purchased was warped and had a visible, unmissable pressing flaw that covered most of side 1 resulting in near constant cycles of loud surface noise. It's a welcome pressing, but it's hard to believe that MOV's quality control would miss such glaring, obvious problems.
