There is three years between Polly Jean Harveys third album To Bring You My Love and her new album Is This Desire?. The tour that followed her previous cd demolished her and forced her to take a while. And so to hear the reflection period has its well done, because it Is This Desire? Harvey as usual and sounds better. The of her previous plates known ingredients are all present: its flexible, occasionally distorted voice and by her nomination and ' heavy ' texts often ominous songs. Retained tension is felt by the less this time extra on guitars and more on sampled (dance) beats, synthesizer sounds and heavy (bass) guitar riffs-based packages. Highlights on this beauty plate are the understated Angelene, The Wind (with Marius de Vries), A Perfect Day Elise and The River.
