A classic of country-soul from a huge unappreciated talent setting the template w/ a countrypolitan sound, soul emotion & pop sensibilities enhanced by great '60's production featuring booming snare drums, legendary session players, sweet female backing choir, occasional classy string flourishes & an obligatory subtle nod to the psych zeitgeist of the day ("Mirror of Your Mind").
An exceptional underrated forgotten gem.
