Edited one year agoIt’s too bad engineers and artists of this time were so enamored with stereo separation. This record starts in such a way that I thought my right channel speaker had come disconnected. This extreme stereo obsession ruined so many records of this time period.
Beyond that, this is a really bright pressing. Mild distortion throughout. I suspect the better your system is, the more you notice. I’ll clean it again and see if it improves, but as of now, this is mildly disappointing. -
My Mint copy of this wonderful album has heavy distortion in the title track, Déjà Vu. Maybe the best song on the album, so very frustrating. B2 and B3 are partly noisy, while B4 plays nicely to runout. Side A plays close to perfect. The grooves are like new, so I guess it's the well-known problem with Atlantic pressings; NOISE.

My 2nd Copy...Another Harmony monolith in it's primitive state...a pristine tactile treasure. Deja Vu is one of the great albums of all time. N
