Serious vocoder bizness. As Fizza said, Newcleus' Magnum Opus.
For here we sit in our easy chairs
As our machines decide how we'll fare
Who will suffer, who will survive?
It's up to the computers

This is the version to have IMO. I believe it's also the mix that's used on the LP but without the intro and outro fx sequences overlaid. As for the track, what can one say other than it vies with very pinnacle of the best for quality. This showed the depth of skill that Newcleus had musically compared to another, simpler - but no less great, track like Jam On It and hinted at with Jam On Revenge's melodic production and synth lead solo break. Underlying all of this is a funky groove and beat that propels the track from beginning to finish. The message would still be considered by some to be prescient today, let alone in 1984. Thoroughly amazing stuff and Newcleus' Magnum Opus.

As the reviewer below stated, the 8:55 club version has an exclusive, long intro. This version can ONLY be found on this promo.

This is the most underrated Jam that newcleus put out and runs right with Jam on it and the other tunes on both album's. It toke me awhile to get a copy and I came across it at a yard sale of all places along with seven other 12's and all were VG+ to NM and I bought them all for $10.00 ! Planet Rock,Play at your own risk,PAC-jam the reissue,Egytain LOVER Yes Yes Yes,Dial a Freak,Electric KINGDOM, FIX It In The Mix,Tour De . I rather be lucky than good any day! You are right Fab it's a must have.
