Notes

Note: Some pressings like this have covers which are gold stamped as promotional.

Warner Communications Company.

This version is a first US pressing of this album and this entry is for the Winchester (WW) pressing plant variation.

Distinguishing characteristics:
- The track B3 "Sub-Mission" title was not printed on back cover. However, on some copies, a sticker with the track title was affixed to the back cover.
- Black and white labels show a Warner Bros. Records logo in the upper center area, which is absent on subsequent pressings like this one.
- Blue and white printed inner sleeve.
- "WW" and the long horn symbol, which indicate the pressing plant, are respectively etched and stamped in the vinyl of the runout grooves.

Mine matches the etching WW1#2 WW1#3 however the label is the traditional WB White.. No "Sub Mission" Sticker, but no bar code on cover. It has to be a later repress, but they must of used old plates.

On the runout variation display above is runout 4 supposed to have a horn or not
      My album is BSK-1-3147 WW1#2 with a horn and BSK-2-3147 WW1#3 with a horn

wow this record sounds SO good on original 1977 pressing. Loud, fierce, and totally alive! Been listening to the CD for years, and this makes it sound like they are in the room right in front of you howling away!

My copy’s etching is identical to variant 3, but Sub-Mission is printed on the back cover and the label is cream with WB in color.

This album also has a misprint of Sub-Mission on the back cover which the label fixed by placing a sticker with the correct spelling over it.
