Having just recently got the blu-ray, which is amazing, I have a question regarding the associated vinyl/cd release of the soundtrack. Does the version of Nite Klub have the talking over the end of the song like in the film? I was thinking of also buying the 3xCD reissue, but having got the remastered version recently as part of the 2-Tone box and since I can rip the audio from the bluray for the soundtrack, do I really need it? Haven't watched it all yet, so I don't know if there's other bits like this or if it's just that first track.

Edited 2 years agoJust received the new Deluxe Edition boxset (not yet listed here) from amazon uk. Very happy with the packaging, price & sound quality. 3 records, first 2 records have the 27 songs from the film sountrack and the third is a copy of the original LP. Without doing a proper sound comparison with my original LP, the new boxset vinyls were clean, crackle free and the last album sounded similar to the original. edit. i would say my original has slightly more clarity but i guess that's normal and as I played it to death I wanted a copy that is clean sounding. For the 27 extra tracks and for £37.00 I'm very happy. -
Edited 2 years agoWhy is this listed as a compilation? It is an abridged soundtrack to a movie, not a compilation.
All the tracks are live versions not previously available anywhere other than in the film.
Soundtracks such as Guardians Of The Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) are, to me, compilation albums but this definitely isn't.

Edited 9 years agoI picked up a new copy of this which is not listed. Includes Madness and is on 180 grm vinyl Bootleg or re-release?
Chrysalis records also with 2Tone logo on cover and paper label. Dated 1981.
