I got one of the terrible pressings as well; I actually thought that something was wrong with my turntable.
I get TERRIBLE rumble, tons of crackling noise in the right channel, and just thin/hollow sound (yes, I know that the 'vibe' of this record is to sound old, I'm aware; this is not that).
So, I guess buyer beware. -
No complaints about SQ on my copy. This is far and away their best effort. Jangling west coast surf/garage guitars and sing-along lyrics that you and your best gal can swing to.

Just picked this up and was very skeptical after reading comments about this pressing. Maybe it's my system, but it sounds fine to me.
I'm using a McIntosh MA8900 with B & W speakers, Rega 3 player and Ortofon 2M Black. -

This version has beautiful packaging. Together with the chill music a match made in heaven(California)

Came across this one by luck at a local bar and really liked the music. I thought this was a 70s band when I heard the record only to find out the album is from 2012. Absolutely great!

This album strangely reminds me of times long gone. Although I'm too young to know what it was like in the 60's and 70's, this kind of music paints weird pictures in my head of how it possibly was back then. I know, there are loads of other albums out there which should do this as well, but for a 2012 release, this is remarkable, somehow.
There are so much impressions loaded into every single song right here.
I heard some people say the sound is arranged in a very simple way. Well, I don't care. For me, it works.
Definitely one of my favorite releases for 2012.
