Notes
The track "Down In A Hole" Is track 4 on this version unlike on the original version, in which it was track 12.
On disc face "DIDP 078107" appears directly under catalog number. Compare with the otherwise almost identical, Dirt, where it appears under the triangle.
Track 10 is not listed anywhere on this release, however it was later known as "Iron Gland" track 2-10 on the Music Bank release
12-page fold out poster-style booklet (2x3 panes each side) with lyrics and song credits on one side (B/W print) and band photo, credits, cover, back cover art on other side. Standard CD jewel case with black tray.
Some copies come with hype stickers affixed to the front of the jewel case. Variant 3 also has a "Best Value" sticker.
Produced at One On One & Eldorado, 1992.
Mixed at Eldorado. Mastered at Future Disc, Hollywood, CA.

This album is so heavy and so personal, it's hard for me to listen end to end, but it's also a masterpiece of lyrics and music. Layne does some of his best singing here.

Edited 18 years agoWould? is the coolest song ever! Too bad the lead singer died of heroin, but now them bones is a song on the PS2 guitar game. These guys were the hidden gems of the Seattle '92 grunge faze. Pearl Jam was too open and christian ethic'ed, Nirvana was too perverted, and Sound Garden had too much of a clean production/commercialism edge. No one knew I'm growin' hungry, but Alice in Chains was the coolest "Alternative" series around. Yup, yup...
