I love all the reviews that talk about how they initially played it at 33RPM because I did the exact same thing and listened through 3-4 times and I LOVED it. I'm listening right now at the correct speed for the first time and I still love it but it's a very different experience. Good to know I have options every time I pick this one up and I'm going to have to create MP3 versions for myself at both speeds.

Great release, should get streaming soon. If you have good eyes and saw the 45rpm from the start, do yourself a favor and give it a go on 33 after a couple cocktails. Doom space surf. I love it at both speeds. I do this on accident on my Smoke and Mirrors Percussion Ensemble all the time. Slight dish warp but quiet pressing. Sound quality is solid.

Bagged a copy at the 8pm Monday online sale. I'm in the UK so didn't think I'd have a chance at getting my hands on this one. I always expect great things from Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives and this one doesn't disappoint. As others have said the quality of the pressing is outstanding and make sure you hit the 45rpm button.

Illustrates all that is wrong with RSD.. Extremely limited release yet multiple copies up for sale on Discogs/ E Bay etc. immediately thereafter and virtually all unplayed! Not sure what artists such as Marty are gaining by depriving genuine fans from purchasing their material whilst opportunists prepared to queue for a couple of hours with the only intention of speculating for monetary gain and presumably, per unit sold, gaining more than the artists themselves!

Now that I played it correctly at 45 rpm (have to learn to read labels) I am blown away at how good this album is. This is up there with the Blue Stingrays (really the Heartbreakers) as one of my favorite modern surf albums.
Excellent mastering to get that 60s reverb and sound just right. Pressing is also very good. A hidden gem of RSD. -
