I'm sorry that I have to put a an underwhelming grade to this record... Side A is super quiet, you have to crank up to volume a lot, I didn't experience a lot of pops/noise, but when they happen, they're really there, side B sounds slightly less quiet, but there's an overall bass centric mix that is borderline unbalanced. It's not to a point where I would demand a refund, I'll listen to it again, but I really wish it was a two discs release, the music is good and deserves it.

The songs on the A side are so quiet and the surface noise is overwhelming. The B side is fine. Love the colour.

Great album on vinyl that's blatantly utter horseshit... which immediately became universal knowledge less than 24 hrs after release.
Going into it to charge upwards of $45 for it is even more horseshit than that. (They knew it was shitty vinyl anyway.) -
Edited 2 months agoThis is a great album, but this specific pressing of the album is beyond awful. What happened with QC for the pressing? There is so much surface noise on this album that it is barely listenable. With the quieter songs the surface noise is overbearing.
i have no idea if any of the other pressings are better, but I really hope the QC for Eilish albums steps up!
(The album itself is 5/5, this pressing is 1/5.) -
i love billie and i love this album, but my copy has so much surface noise, which usually doesn't bother me at all, but the songs on this album can be sometimes really quiet so the noise really stands out. on side a the noise was stronger, which is sad since it's the side with my favorite songs 😅 although, i do really enjoy the color and the music.

i like this album, and the songs that play well are fantastic, but eco-mix vinyl is just… no. at the very least, no on records that have super soft songs like this one. 80% of the songs are surface noise galore. i’m really hoping it settles in and sounds better the more i play it.
this recycled and eco-mix vinyl thing feels very performative. i feel billie should’ve opted for less variants (like 3-4 maybe) of non-recycled vinyl instead of the what, 9 recycled/eco-mix? i’m almost tempted to simply not own hmhas on vinyl because it’s just… not good. not worth $30 and definitely not worth spending the time to try to find a pressing that is the “best” sounding. very disappointed. -
just… no 😭 my pressing is orange w/ black splatter (it’s eco-mix so that’s expected). the crackles and pops are AWFUL. it’s also really quiet, so when you turn the volume up enough to hear it, the surface noise is horrible. please don’t get this pressing
