You don't need those flippers prices... wait for the regular pressing coming out next week. be smart, make a flipper starve.
-
Compared to an original and the original was still the winner, mostly due to having more bass and kick/overall lower impact energy, when you go back to this one it seems like it’s oomph is missing, though the top end was identical on both

This record is incredible all the way around. If you have a sealed copy, OPEN IT and give it a spin :)

Aside from the inherent distortion in the recording of the louder vocal parts this is a fantastic pressing and sounding record. It's about time this album had a proper release. Glad it's getting some other variant pressings later this year also.

Took me a while to find a copy that wasn't price gouged (I missed the only copies at my local shop), but I'm glad I finally have one. WOW, it is a fantastic pressing - rich sound, quiet vinyl. I have Jackpot's reissue of Silver Apples' "" and thats a great pressing too, so I knew this one would be wonderful as well. Highly recommend but don't let the scalpers get to you - word is another pressing is coming later in 2024, so if don't absolutely HAVE to have the lemon-grass color vinyl (which is gorgeous by the way) have no fear!

Edited one year agoWow! They did a great job here. Sound is exceptional. Pressing is flat and mostly quiet.

This issue sounds slightly better than an original. Capitol mastering in the 60s was lousy, and the recording itself is kinda muddy. But, there’s improved low end clarity and a bit more punch in the bass guitar. Dead quiet, flawless pressing.
