Edited 6 months agoWow. Listened to the new Abraxas MoFi Super Vinyl first and the put this on. The vinyl is just as quiet and black as the MoFi. Lots of space on this album so I really appreciate the quiet vinyl. Super dynamic though I get that it's not for everyone.

Excellent pressing. Very dynamic music and the sonics carry over well here. About as quiet a pressing record you can get with traditional 'audiophile' grade black vinyl. Williams' light cymbal work on the back half floats out of the speakers- black background. Wonderful. Highly recommended!
-
This is music that needs to be ed by a dead quiet record; fortunately, I have got one with this pressing. I have no complains whatsoever; absolutely top-notch!

Edited one year agoTICKY. RTI's quality is falling down. There used to be more care in pressings. Now they check less and even sell defective copies. An audiophile high price record must be checked better. BAD

Absolutely blown away by this album. I think it’s very accessible and beautifully melodic. This pressing is dead quiet just like all of the other Tone Poets I own. Highly recommended!
-
A lovely pressing, but definitely not my interest musically. But it sounds exceptional: It's really tough to deliver an album this dynamic with so much subtlety (lots of very quiet, intricate moments followed by bursts of notes).

Edited one year agoFantastic pressing. The opening track on Side A is really dead quiet. The music really shines with that kind of black background.
The album may not be to everyone's taste as it's a bit abstract, but I love it.
Mastering is great as usual. -
Edited one year agoUnavailable in the UK pushed back till end May/June per Amazon & Juno. Arrived 24-04-24 out of the blue. Nothing like good customer communications -:(

Any chance you can tell me the last four digits of the "B00328??-??" release number on the record label? I'm working on the PDF update to the book version of the Sam Rivers Sessionography.

Another fantastic sounding Tone Poet pressing. Dead quiet so that the dueling basses on Two Pieces of One really shine through in stereo. I give it a 10/10 for both the music and the acoustics. Keep em coming, Kevin Gray and team!
