As long as there is no vinyl re-release of "Pop! - The first 20 Hits" this is a nice collection for having the most essential Erasure tracks on vinyl.
-
I totally agree with AnalogRx....
If you're a fan of the band and of good sound, this vinyl lacks sound quality...
Good, but not enough. It could be much better ! -

This is wonderful collection of best hits and good music. Erasure is so underrated. The sound quality is superb on this vinyl collection.

Much like mjskywalker96, Erasure is one of my wife's fav artists too (ok, me too)! This is a well done re/rm...tracks are all cut on balance, tough to tell the age between tracks. Our discs are quiet, pretty flat, and centered...have no complaints as this pressing dodges the common complaints that are often associated with compilation releases.

Edited one year agoSoundwise the pressings sound good, with hardly any pops or clicks or noise. The let down is the card record sleeves that will scuff your records, also the centre hole is slightly out of line, causing tonearm to go from left to right, and the edges of the records have been cut so rough
that you could injures yourself on the sharp edges. -
Edited 10 months agoOne of my wife’s favorite bands. She said this is a great record with all the best hits. I will vouch that the pressing sounds fantastic. My disc 1 was a little wobbly and not perfectly flat but it did not cause an issue. Packaging is very nice. I would highly recommend for the fans.

Edited one year agoCertainly a huge difference in sound quality between the 2 records. Record 1 sounds dull, muffled with lifeless dynamics. Record 2 sounds much better with clean, crisp highs and excellent bass. They both received the same vacuum wet cleaning so not sure what’s going on. I’ll get another copy and see. As of now, record 1 sound quality is 3.0/5.0 and record 2 is 4.5/5.0
**Received another copy and not hearing much better unfortunately on record 1. Starting out with “Who Needs Love Like That” showed promise as that sounds great, but goes downhill from there. These tracks on record 1 are lacking the fantastic dynamics their original studio album versions have. Depending on how you listen, it might sound great for you, but not on my system.
Packaging is just ok with the decent gatefold and cardboard inner sleeves, records now in poly-lined inners. Both records do lay flat and play back very quietly so that’s a positive. Giving the entire package an overall sound quality of 3.5
Would be nice to see Erasure get A Little Respect and get a better and updated 4 LP “A Very Best Of” release to encom their nearly 40 years of music. They are deserving of that. -
Edited one year agoGreat value for money being a double album in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves too. Pressing is flat and free of surface noise and with no snap, crackle or pops. However, contrary to description there’s no way this is 180gm vinyl - much too light and thin.
