Edited 2 months agoAnyone know which version has BM66254-01 A1 in the runout? Can't find it anywhere, but that's what it says on my copy. This version was the closest I could find.

Sounds pretty good. The drums aren't terribly well defined, nor are the vocals or bass, but only in comparison to my pressing of Tusk. Maybe it just wasn't recorded as well, I can't tell. Still, compared to most albums, it sounds great.

Edited one year agoBought brand new sealed from Amazon. Record is mostly flat and well centered. Pressing quality is great on side B (mostly quiet, apart for a few small clicks), but side A is quite a bit worse (lots of surface noise and crackling). Some nasty popping at the end of A4 / beginning of A5. Some distortion on A6 and B5. This is not ruining the experience, but it's noticeable and a bit annoying to be honest. Apart from that, the music is fantastic and the mixing is quite good. 3,9 / 5

I've bought 2 copies of this exact record and both skip in the exact same spot during crystal, apart from that the record is great

Really damn good sounding remaster by Chris Bellman, and a great companion to the original Kendun and MOFI LPs. It's a bit brighter here, much like Chris's other remasters, whilst also retaining the oomph and soundstage of the two latters quite nicely. Lots of details I'd never noticed before, such as Lindsey breathing in at the beginning of Monday Morning and a banjo in Say You Love Me. Landslide is just incredible sounding here as well. definitely recommended.

Fellas, this press is quite good. My copy is dead silent (has the Czech sticker) and the range is quite good. Seconding someone in here saying don't on this sleeper. Get it while it's cheap
-
Outstanding pressing. Deep, punchy bass; mids and vocals perhaps a shade less silky smooth than the originals but still pretty solid. The best price/performance today. Buy Now!

Some are pressed at Optimal, some are pressed at GZ. The GZ copies can be a crap shoot whether or not you get a clean, warped or noisy pressing. Mine is from GZ and it's perfect. I lucked out. The mastering is still incredible. The best I ever heard this album.
