Edited 2 years agoJust listened to this and Vaxis I back to back.
This pressing (my copy at least) is not dynamic enoungh, it's not truly terrible but def doesn't impress. Some of the songs feel too crowded on my system that doesn't usually have any problem resolving that. Some are ok (side D sounds pretty good)
My copy of Vaxis I in comparison has none of the flaws above, it sounds in a different league. Weird thing is that for this Vaxis II disc 1 seems to have quite a bit of room left , which is not used. Feels like it should have been
Musically, yeah as the comment bellow says, they tried to touch on more genres, innovate. After 3 listenes I can say that they failed, this is their worst album that i , according to my tastes.
Maybe a better pressing/version could improve my opinion of this a bit, as some portions sounded quite bad so I wasn't as receptive during those.. Does such a version exist?

Excellent pressing (flat and quiet). The mastering is wonderful, and there’s quite a lot of different music corridors touched with some prog, some electronica, and dare I say just a tad of a pop flare. It’s an excellent listen and not boring or predictable at all. Jam on it!
