Boomer rant ->
I don't want to be a "I caught them on all tours from RTL through AJFL but......I did just see them live last summer at Boston Calling and it was my first show in 34 years. Obviously, I'm not a huge fan of this album. That said, this is a good rock album, and this pressing sounds and looks cool. Hopefully the new "72" LP sounds more 85' and less 08'.
Not to go on, but I have seen Anthrax, Megadeth, Dark Angel, Exodus, Testament, Kreator and Mercyful Fate, etc in the last 12 months and Metallica still kicks ass live. The only problem is a Metallica show is with 20k-100k in attendance, and the rest play for 500-2,000 so of course I'd rather go to a theater show and be in the pit right up front. -

I'm starting to fear that this will never actually sound.... good. Anyone who has heard the GH tracks knows how they *could* sound, but instead we'll get release after release of an otherwise great album that sound like utter crap.

There's no way this can be pressed at Rainbo.. They've been defunct for a few years now! I'd love to see some pics of the matrix.

It's definitely better than the MP3 version I played over stock speakers in my 2001 Chevy Malibu in 2008. Records are flat and quiet.

Edited 2 years agoI forgot how awful the drums on this album sound, genuinely shocked. Guess its been a while since I last heard this hahahaha. This sounds good otherwise (i mean, as good as it can without being a Guitar Hero mix). Color looks super cool and fits the cover art well. Always wanted this on vinyl, very happy to own. 4/5 in of the quality of the vinyl itself (no noticable surface noise from the color used, aside from quiet parts). NOW REPRESS BEYOND MAGNETIC!!!!! I DO ***NOT*** WANT TO SPEND $100 FOR A RECORD I KNOW IS GOING TO SOUND BAD.

This pressing sounds fantastic. Having listened to my friend's 2014 Blackened reissue as well, this version sounds very similar to that. Sounds significantly better than streaming to me. The bass is very nicely present and I actually found that turning up the treble on my receiver helped a bit. I have been cranking it and it sounds awesome!

Gotta love Rick Ruben's master-touch here. I wish they didn't push the mix to 11, but this album brings them back to the justice days. Killer. Great pressing from walmart. Enjoy!

I bought the 5 record bundle and this is the worst sounding of the 5. It’s still a kick ass album though. It just doesn’t punch like Load and Garage Inc which both sound so good. Even St. Anger sounds better. You can hear the pompous attempt from Rubin on here but fortunately they don’t let him overshadow the record.
