I'm one of those who prefer this kind of Ambient on CD-format. Not vinyl, because it's distracting having to shift side every 10-20 minutes, and not digital, because it's too damn unpersonal. So naturally I ordered this 2CD rather than 2LP of this wonderful compilation of unreleased material from Ambient Techno legends MLO.
Like more or less everything from MFM, this is excellent, beautifully packaged and made with love and care. It's simply flawless, and had I not known the story behind the album I'd have thought this was an original full length album from the 90's, although remastered. I'd say it generally sounds like Higher Intelligence Agency meeting up with Jonah Sharpe in 1994. Technically brilliant, musical, mature and simply beautiful cosmic Ambient Techno, being more Ambient than Techno this time.
My only complaint is that I'd wished the CDs would be longer, 40 minutes each is a little too sparse for my taste when it comes to this kind of meditative music.
