A Somewhat Forgotten Masterpiece By The One And Only Stevie Wonder, It Doesn't Quite Have The Back To Back Amazing Feel That The Two Albums That Precede It (Talking Book, Innervisions) Have Or The Blockbuster That Comes After It Does (Songs In The Key Of Life) But It's Still Pretty Fantastic In It's Own Right, Side 1 Being A Lot More Quality With Every Song Worthy Of Being Regarded As A Stevie Classic But Side 2 Only Has The Grandiose They Won't Go When I Go And Everything Gets Overshadowed By It, Although I Really Like The Closer Please Don't Go. This Album Unfortunately Has Something Weird Going On With The Sound Due To Whatever Was Done During The Recording Or Mixdown And Pressings Regardless On Vinyl Or CD Can Be Very Lacking In Top End Detail Sound Wise I Have Found. This First USA Press Sounds Great On My System Even If That Lack Of Top End To The Music Is Still Present Somewhat With Smile Please Being The Worst Offender, I Should Also Note These OG US Pressings Have A Good Deal Of Static To Them Due To Being Made With Quite Cheap And Noisy Vinyl.

      Album Revolution # 4:

Even though this is a little step down from his last two MASTERPIECES (just a small step though), "Stevie Wonder's" "Fulfillingness' First Finale" was still a TERRIFIC album (In fact it still qualifies as a total Ultimate Crown Jewel).....

      Why the step down?

Maybe it was because his was still recovering from that tragic car accident....Who knows?????? The good thing is that it didn't stop the music....In fact, maybe it made him more determined than ever to Produce STUNNING music....

The album starts off with the very Moody sounding "Smile Please"...It kind of mirrors the start of "Talking Book"...The good thing is that with it being Moody, it has very uplifting Lyrics (see I am starting to comment more on the Lyrics, aren't you Guys proud of me?)...

."Heaven Is 10 Zillion Light Years Away" kind of follows the same pattern (OMG!!! My Mother used to KILL this song!!!!).....

"Too Shy To Say", is a straight up Love Affair between "Stevie" and the Piano and Keyboards....

"Boogie On Reggae Woman" is "Stevie" being NAUGHTY on a "Super Funky" track, laced in Funky Piano...

      OMG, then there's "Creepin'".....

Hey...I don't care how well "Luther Vandross" sang that song, it was NO MATCH to "Stevie's version"!!!!!! The Electronic Keyboards, Sound Effects, also with the Sonic Soulful Vocals of the ONE and ONLY "Minnie Riperton" makes this song so spell bounding (and it was the Record I use to go to sleep on when I was a Kid)!!!!!!

The second side starts with "You Haven't Done Nothin'"....With help from "The Jackson 5", this is a "Straight Up In Your Face" t about the SO CALLED leaders of this world, and how they are MESSING things up!!!!!

"It Ain't No Use", is a break up song, that just swoons all over, with great background Vocals from, "Denise Williams", "Lani Groves" and "Minnie Riperton"....

"They Won't Go When I Go" is another very Moody, Spiritually inspired song, that seems to have a lot of room for the Keyboards to go....

Now with "Bird Of Beauty", I have to it that I have to go back to listen to it...I have a feeling that it is talking about getting HIGH, but I want to make sure (If I am wrong, I will come back and modify my review)....

"Please Don't Go" is a nice finish, even though I do it that I heard "Stevie" have better album ending songs....

Yes, again, it may not be better than "Talkin' Book" and "Innervisions", but "Fulfillingness' First Finale" still stands the test of time...It also continued to help "Stevie" RULE the "70's.......
