Reviews

Sounds like garbage. Idk if I just got a bad copy but this sounds like a MP3 compared to the CD. Flat, muddy, and boring. Both disks are warped too.

With great difficulty I got this record. I've been looking and waiting for it for a very long time. But I still won't be biased. The sound quality is simply incredible, compared to the digital version. The sound is very different, the mastering was clearly done by professionals. There are no complaints about the sound. The envelope is also excellent, the inscription is very interesting - the paint is applied to the envelope so that "INSIDE" had a 3D effect. I were also pleased with the inner sleeves. Very beautifully executed illustrations. But the quality of the labels on the records leaves much to be desired. But of course this does not interfere with listening to the recording.

Lovely jacket and artwork, seriously hefty records, no skips, no pops, dead silent in quiet sections. Couldn't be happier with it!

No skips on my copy, a little bit of crackling and popping here and there which I personally like on a record. The only thing though is when I took it out of the wrap the spine seemed to shift and now the spine with the wording on the side is a little offset, which isn't a huge deal and might fix itself over time. I've noticed that happens sometimes with heavier gatefolds.

Edited 3 years agoEvery side sounds lovely. Cleaned it up nicely, put it into a poly-lined sleeve, and played it with no problem! Surprised to find this on vinyl-definitely one of my favorite albums of the decade thus far.

Solid Enough.
I have to agree with how much of the centre of the LP that is not used the lip cut on the 2nd disc is ridiculously small. The crackle and pop issue folks are reporting I haven't experienced at all, I did give it a clean before 1st use though.
The sleeve and embossed lettering etc are an excellent presentation.
Overall solid Pressing in my opinion just an oddly short lip on 2nd disc.

Edited 3 years agoIt's not great.
Let's start with the presentation: The jacket is nice and thick. I didn't expect the 'INSIDE' to be embossed, a nice surprise. The art is very nice. I especially love the gatefold and the pictures on the record sleeves. I would've preferred some poly lined sleeves, but that's a first world problem. The vinyl itself is pretty thick and clean looking. A closer inspection reveals quite a lot of dimples in the vinyl, which might indicate a subpar pressing.
As for the sound: I am not impressed. There is quite a lot of crackle and pop present, especially at the start of each side. The sound itself seems to vary a lot between tracks, but I would describe it as being very tinny at times. Other tracks sound just fine. It's listenable, but that pretty much says it all. I would prefer listening to the digital release over the vinyl every time. Should mention I gave the vinyl a wet clean on an Okki Nokki record cleaner before spinning.
3 stars because the jacket and inner sleeves are awesome. -
got my copy today, sounds fine to me. like all new records these days, could use a clean. no major surface noise issues though, D side sounds fine.
