Mine came with everything d, gatefold, inserts, photo booklet etc.. The sound quality is good, I don't hear any muffling or distortion, but I don't care for the half-speed so much.
-
Superb pressing. The (half-speed) remastering sounds superb, the gatefold, inners and the book are all excellent (apart from the usual editorial issues expected in any Kiss archive release). I don't care which version you already own or whatever axe people seem to have to grind with the pressing plant, this is well worth owning. My previous copy was the 77 UK Pye and this blows it away. Ignore the moaners, it's superb.

Don't have any other version to compare it with, but I think it sounds pretty good. I'm listening on a decent audio set. Can't say I agree with the more negative reviews here. But again: nothing to compare it with. And the 'made in Czech Republic' stamp is nothing to worry about. GZ does have good pressings. But I have to it: their pressing quality is far from constant, as I also own some really bad pressings from this factory. For this release, I have no complaints.

This truly sounds awful. Worse pressing I've heard so far. Compressed and distorts at any volume. I wonder if Paul or Gene even took time to listen to this before releasing it to the public? The booklet is nice but nothing new in the photo department.

My local record/cd shop ordered 4 copies only on LP, not bulk.
One of them came with some damage to the cover so they desided
to open it up. First, the 20 page booklet was missing, the inner sleeves
were not even on each side. The LP's looked flat & fine and played perfect
but the sound was very bad! The shop has a top level turntable to play
records on, it doesn't even sound remastered. IMO my original Japan
pressing from the 70's sounds better than this! Has anyone bought a copy
and the booklet was missing!! I think I'll take a on this one, it's just Kiss
trying to make a buck on their fans by using a cheap plant to make this release.
The less everything costs them the more money they make but this time
i believe they went in a little too cheap, at least with the LP version of this release. -
Compared this to the 2014 remastered vinyl... this new edition sounds BAD. Really badly compressed and distorted. Not sure if this is an issue just reflecting the red and yellow colored vinyl edition, but I'm severely disappointed and feel ripped off.

Avoid this cash in at all cost - perhaps the worst mastering and pressing ever. Manufactured at the Czech pressing plant GZ, notorious for the bombing of countless reissues.
