Notes

Released 3 November 2003 on JBO. This album was released in conjunction with the single, "Born Slippy .NUXX 2003".

This box set anthology with poster marked the first album appearances of "Bigmouth", "Dirty" and "Spikee"; all of which had previously only been available as singles. Furthermore, it contained some of their more popular soundtrack pieces, including "Dark & Long (Dark Train)" and "Born Slippy .NUXX", both used in the film Trainspotting; "Rez", as used in Vanilla Sky; "Moaner" from Batman & Robin; and "8 Ball", which was featured in The Beach. The original versions of "Dark & Long" and "Born Slippy" were not included in the compilation.

Track E1: the version of "Born Slippy .NUXX" included on this compilation is an exclusive edit of the song.

Track F2 is given as "Push Upstairs" on this release, however the version featured here is "Push Upstairs (The Full Length Of It)", originally issued in 1999 on a promo 12".

Track G1 is the full version, taken from Various - Batman & Robin: Music From And Inspired By The Motion Picture.

My first copy skipped at the beginning of MMM Skyscraper...I then purchased a new one, and it skips in the same place. How is that possible? Anyways. For being an old copy, still sounds great. I love this band and their music. Songs are great.

The whole back catalogue of one of the most inspiring groups of the 90s...wow!, alongside the prodigy, chemical brothers, massive attack and countless others; underworlds music transformed the music scene in the 1990s. Starting out as an electronic music act formed by Rick Smith and Karl Hyde in 1987 after their former band Freur disbanded. The first line-up released more song oriented funky guitar based pop over the course of two albums. In 1991 the core duo returned with a new track oriented technoid direction and a new ally; DJ Darren Emerson. In 1996 the former b-side "Born Slippy NUXX" was used in Danny Boyle's film "Trainspotting" and became an instant anthem of the mid to late 1990's, this track became famously associated with Gazza's drinking antics during Euro 1996!! and still goes down a storm even to this day, Paul Oakenfold for one still plays this out.
Emerson left in 2000 after the release of "Everything, Everything" to pursue a solo career and a successful one it has been to with his new record label H20 and numerous Dj mixes receiving various acclaims, in fact its good to see the post - Emerson tracks on Side F to give this anthology a real soundscape of Underworlds varying sounds, dirty epic, king of snake, pearls girls....you just don't get tired of hearing em do you!!
