A very strong album that consists of 9 Tarney songs and one by Eaton. The production is slick and Cliff himself is in fine voice. The opening One Night is a belter with 60s echoes and classic Rock N Roll. Once Upon A Time is also great along with single Some People.
Forever is a nice slow tempo soulful track and Two Hearts another anthem.
Under Your Spell by Eaton is strong but This Time Now is where the quality starts to slip. My Pretty One, another single and first released in 1985 by another artist. Me another single that was also recorded by David Cassidy in 1985 and the final track, the title track bows out on a high note. The use of drum machines and sequencers adds to the appeal of the tight arrangements and even though the production is of it's time, it still doesn't distract from the strong collection of songs. It's an enjoyable album and one that brought him back into the spotlight after a rather uneventful mid 80s period. Is it better than Wired For Sound and Now You See Me, in some ways but I love the ensemble playing on those albums.

I have just found (in a Charity Shop) a 'folder' (circa 1988) similar to a Gatefold LP cover featuring Cliff in a promotion on behalf of Thomson Holidays asking their Representatives to sell holidays which in turn, raises money for Barnardo's Holiday Appeal. Reps selling a holiday can then apply for a free copy of 'Always Guaranteed'.
