I have nothing to compare to, but this pressing sounded excellent to me, very hot and loud, dynamic and pops out of the speakers as any good 70’s rock record should. Glad I finally found this in decent condition as I was close to buying the remaster and I’m guessing they could have more compression.

Edited 9 years agoKISS' third album. This record was churned out very quickly and as a result most of the songs are rather short. It was produced by Casablanca's main man Neil Bogart as a cost cutting measure. On the original LP their are long spaces between songs to make the album appear to be longer.
As for the music it is a really tight solid record. There are some underrated songs on here like Room Service and Rock Bottom. There are also some silly fun poppy songs like Anything For My Baby. The production of the album is very light, it's very much a pop rock record. The harder rocking songs like She don't sound like they belong and would be better fit for KISS' previous album Hotter Than Hell. However for what it is Dressed To Kill is a good KISS album, it's just really rushed.
