After decades of having heard only the US CD version, I picked up this 1998 reissue. The vinyl is so huge and wide, it almost sounds like it's not even from the same recording session. The CD sounds like you're listening to it on a good system, in a normal room. But, in the same room, the vinyl sounds like they're playing live in a airplane hangar with a huge sound system. You can hear the open space of the studio. I can't think of any title I own on CD and vinyl that has this much variance to it.
