Anyone know the difference between the two yellow pressings? Did they just make more yellow in two different batches?
-
Very solid, quiet pressing. The yellow vinyl looks fantastic, and the sound stage is very large, giving you a feel for how they interpreted these classic songs. Will this replace the original, not by along shot, and that wasn't what Zakk was going for, but as a tribute to the band and album that started Metal, its a very fun listen, and the love and care shines through brilliantly. The jacket could be a little bit sturdier, but its a small nitpick that doesn't take away from the experience. Vinyl comes with black lined inner sleeves to help keep the record safe. If this was recorded as they initially billed it, within 24 hours like the original famously was, its an even bigger testament to the love for the original band, and tribute this album truly is.

Excellent pressing, color, and packaging. This was a ton of fun to listen to. Zakk definitely sounds like Zakk while staying true to the original music.

Edited 4 years agoPlaying this right now.
Cover is a bit flimsy, pleasantly surprised it came with black lined sleeves.
Yellow vinyl looks great, isn't perfectly flat and the hole is slightly off-center, sounds decent but maybe a bit thin without a lot of depth and DR to the sound.
I don't know I'd listen to this often because, well, I own Black Sabbath and I'd obviously spin that if I have the choice.
