Excellent album, un petit bijou . Chaque morceau s’imbriquent pour une écoute en continu face A et face B

Edited 4 months agoNot bad, but the sound on the 2023 Half Speed is just better.... richer, more expansive and less anaemic. This one is clean sounding enough but abit skeletal and dry. For a cheap price id recommend this as its listenable but i cant deny the step up in sound of the Abbey Half Speed.
-
This is a fantastic pressing of one of the best albums of the 80's... the weight helps but there is little to no sounds other than pure music.... a great pressing and really inexpensive if you shop around.

I'm usually not a fan of modern pressings but damn if this isn't one of the best sounding records in my collection. I've spun it countless times by now.

Ditched my grubby original 80s UK 1st Press for this supermarket 25 euro 2019 offering with alight reluctance. Glad I did, fantastic copy, great pressing, flat, quiet and dynamic opening up the soundstage for the first track, awesome.
-
Bought this in a plain white sleeve without any jacket cover at a boot sale for a quid. The labels said twas Ben Webster and Associates. It was quickly apparent it wasn't the Webster.

Edited 3 years agoA bit dusty when coming out of the sleeve. Perfectly flat, centered and after a cleaning very good sound. Probably sourced from the 2013 master since the known glitch on "Ideas As Opiates" is present here. Recent editions come without a code. (Auto rip gave me access to the deluxe edition, though).

One of the lucky ones I guess… my copy sounds flawless and is easily in my top ten best sounding albums.
