Reviews

Not sure if a bad batch went out or if people just have shit turntables etc. but this pressing sounds incredible! I’m super happy with it and very happy to have it in my collection!
-
This pressing sounds very good! Don’t know what the rest of these reviews are about, but I myself would definitely recommend this US pressing of the red vinyl.
-
arrived from janet's webstore in less than a week in mint condition and greatly packaged(no seam splits)! confused about the reviews saying this pressing is horrible because mine sounds pretty good! definitely not as full as a 1986 pressing of this album but very good for a reissue. the color is stunning in person as well. my only complaint is how tiny and hard to read the text on the spine is but other than that im very happy to own this!!
-
inner sleeve is so thin and prone to get seam-torn. meh. mine got horribly torn. sound wise? it's not superb but not bad at all.
how about European edition? is the inner sleeve thin too? -
Waste of money and time. Horribly remastered vinyl. Purchase the the UK (180gram) version of Control. Otherwise this is just cute to have and not even worth listen to. Horrible sound.
-
A horrible reissue! Poor quality - U.S. version is not 180g vinyl, torn inner sleeves, printing flaws... and these traits exist on multiple copies I've viewed. You would do better to skip the red vinyl edition altogether and choose the 180g European reissue instead (00602577378485).

Edited 5 years agoI'm "happy" to see that other people seem to be having the same issue as me. I ordered the red translucent Control vinyl on Janet's Live Nation shop on May 29th. Almost one month later and I've yet to receive any updates on the status of my order. It hasn't shipped, and I haven't been notified if the release date has been pushed back, so my money is currently in limbo. Very unprofessional, and I'll definitely think twice before I order anything from Live Nation online.
UPDATE: Well, about an hour after I posted this comment, I received an e-mail telling me my vinyl has finally been shipped. Coincidence? Maybe. But the paranoia in me is telling me that Big Brother is watching very closely. -
I have been waiting for a month for the red vinyl ordered on live nation Janet Jackson shop, I wrote to the customer care who answered me two weeks later. Honestly I'm not waiting for it as before.

Edited 5 years agoI ordered this from the Live Nation Janet Jackson shop and it came to me warped worse than I've ever seen a record warp. It's a shame it's not more widely available so you are not at the mercy of distributors who don't pack vinyl with protective mailers, etc nor do they check vinyl before it's sent out. I find it's safer to buy from ebay or discogs sellers who know how to pack things.
