Found this one recently on eBay. Knew it was a Monarch record club version but unsure of condition or matrices. It sounds excellent…far hotter, fuller and more bass compared to my other UK version. Would love for someone who has this and a “regular” Piros from 74 or 77 to compare them!

Edited 8 months agoNot sure if this is the right place to ask I have a very clean copy of this album which sounds phenomenal in high end clarity and bass response. Great holographic sound. My question is regarding the matrix which is as follows: St-a-681461cc at1gp. My copy has a double “cc” with the second “c” is finer and more thinly etchted. In addition the run out includes a faded out “MR” in a circle but it is not deeply and completely pressed into the dead wax. Does anyone else have a similar copy or can someone explain if this is something that might happen in some of the pressings. Also my cover doesn’t have the “Cover back, lower left corner: Manufactured under licence issued by Atlantic Recording Corporation to Record Club of America, Inc.” Thank you.

Edited 2 years agoWeird one here. Found an EX copy with CC and the extra matrix numbers △18257, but it's in a red cover (not orange) and has no record company writing on the back cover. Has an Atlantic inner sleeve and is marked AT/GP (George Piros) on both sides. Sounds phenomenal in headphones, I'm hearing all this laughter and bits of dialogue in the background I'd never noticed before. Very live and alive sounding. I'm keeping it!

I have never heard this album sound so good, on any medium. It's the type of pressing that will demand your full attention while playing because you'll be afraid of missing out on hearing details that you've never heard before, it's THAT good. You'd better have a backup crappy pressing if you plan on spinning this in the background while trying to be productive.
