This came at the top of my priority to listen to after hearing Dr. John's last album on which Dan Auerbach did the production. I liked their previous Brothers too, and seeing this have bigger critical acclaim gave me some good hopes. Does it live up to it? Yes mostly. It's nowhere near Dr. John's masterpiece in sound, so get that out of your head if you're walking to this expecting a funky t. It's just the Black Keys doing their thing, perhaps moving further away from the blues of their early career albums and just bringing some good catchy fuzzy riffs and rhythms. None of the songs are overly complex or groundbreaking, but it would be a lie to say that this isn't enjoyable as hell to listen. Keeping it simple is the key, but they never fail once to make a good song making this a damn good album. Funny that my son walked in this album telling me "I thought you didn't listen to music that played on the radio?". Ah well it happens I guess, I have nothing against music that I like being popular.

I bought this album the day it was released on CD. It is now a decade later and I bought it on vinyl. I forgot how much I loved this album. There is not a bad song on it in my opinion.
This pressing sounds amazing. One of the best new pressings I’ve had. Very good mix and no surface noise. If you are a Black Keys fan and don’t have this album on vinyl go get it now. You won’t regret it.
