Edited 2 years agoI think this may be my favorite remix release of hers and the vinyl itself is beautiful. Something about the root version of the song, this simple meditative pulse of emotion, makes sense it would lend incredibly well to different mixes. -
Just gone back to this and the Kelly Lee Owen's remix is definitely the pick of the bunch. Also forgot how pretty the vinyl was.

Bjork is the mountain climber of performance singers. She has peaked many times in her career and she has conquered a new peak with the Utopia release of three singles (Gate, Blissing Me, Arisen My Senses) - all so consistently beautiful.
Arisen My Senses is given full glory vinyl release in iceberg cool blue vinyl (or slug genital if you prefer). Her humour is inextricable from her music and approach to electronica; weird noises, backward bits, harps and bells this is a joy to listen to.
The Jlin rework is an odd ditty, but it works fine as punctuation between the Lanark and Kelly Lee Owens remixes. It's wonderful to witness an artist continue such innovative music decade after decade. This is a triumph of art and life.
The vinyl is produced immaculately - no crackles and a good weight. -
Edited 7 years agoFor those curious, 'slug genitalia' color is a cloudy translucent white/grey with a slight purple hue. The pictures shown don't really do it justice. It's really quite beautiful, actually. Remixes aren't bad, either!
